These folks have taken time to engineer a lot of electronically 'safe' and reliable integration systems for use with cell phones, FRS, CB radios and the like. You can't really do it any other way and expect good results, so we do recommend these products. We aren't connected in any way, but I steer a lot of folks that way.
The reason we do recommend them is because most consumer electronics are based on low fidelity and low cost speakers and microphones, and the mics are generally condenser or powered 'computer/cellphone' type mics. All these products live in a different world than the average Asian motorcycle intercom system, and wiring them up directly wiht adaptors or soldered connectors is not guaranteed to work and not going to meet your expectations in most all cases. Most mic applications wont' even work at all.
We tend not to try to get into this end of the business because the problem has already been solved!
