I'm having a hard time getting the tabbed mic installed. It looks like it's about 4" too long.
 
Has anyone got any info or advice regarding this problem? If you've installed the mic and had it out of the line of your mouth was the audio OK?
 
Is the flush mount mic the way to go?
 
The speakers look fine and the external connection unit, while not fitting flush against the helmet, looks like it'll hold. Has anyone had problems with the external connector failing or coming off?
